Well as of this past week I have decided to go and build my dang Crown Vic GT with what I have. Starting with this $10 roof rack. Next my roommate and I have decided to fix my leaky valve seals with new heads from a mustang GT.
So stay tuned.

Is that a 5.0 car?
This could be an interesting build.

You have a thread going on CVN as well? If not, a lot of people there would be interested in keeping up with this too (and can provide a lot of insightful help).

I have the same make roof rack, was given to me by a coworker.
I do not have mounting hardware for it, so I had just ran a ratchet strap through the door openings, although it was unsealing the door, I took it off.

How would you mount it ?
I’m not a fan of the Perma strap

Nice! The Mustang heads should wake it up a bit.

You have started what I have dreamt. I really want to rebuild my ‘97 to be around 350hp, keep it looking mostly stock, keep it riding like a cloud, and just be an all around excellent highway cruiser. And I’ve been dreaming of getting a roof rack too. I’ve got a trunk-mount one right now for my bikes, but roof-mount would be so much easier and give me better access to the trunk. What is the brand of that rack you have?

I honestly don’t know, I did some googling after I bought it and a company called discount rack sells it for $60.
I'm hoping to bump the hp from 190 to 210-220 after the head swap. Hopefully another 10 after a new exhaust if I ever make it that far into the build.

Huh, I’ll have to look that up. Thanks for the info!
And if you get the exhaust done, post some vids. I haven’t seen any good quality exhaust videos for aeros. Just crappy cell phone vids of Cherry Bombs or straight pipes.
